After filling and inserting the cartridges, the chips reset themselves automatically after a short procedure and then show the filling level of the cartridges again.

Procedure: Fill cartridge(s) with ink and insert. Press the red "X" button so that the printer starts self-cleaning. The chip is now working again. Keep the printer powered on throughout the process.

OR

If the printer stops printing and a cartridge is empty, remove all cartridges, close the ink cartridge cover, turn off the printer and unplug the power cord for about 10 minutes. After about 10 minutes, turn it back on and reinsert the cartridges into the printer. The printer should recognize the cartridges and print.
